Pivot, Don’t Start Over: Leveraging Your Existing Skills for Where You’re Going Next
with Lori Norris
Many people considering a career change assume they need to go back to school, start at the bottom or completely reinvent themselves. In reality, most successful career pivots happen when you identify the skills, strengths and experiences you already have and learn how to apply them in a new way.
In this session, we'll discuss how to look beyond job titles, uncover relevant transferable skills and evaluate opportunities that align with your experience. You'll leave with a practical framework for exploring new career paths and a better understanding of how to communicate your value when pursuing something different.
This workshop is designed for anyone wondering, "What's next?" and looking for a way forward without starting over.
Lori is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) and certified Job and Career Transition Coach (JCTC).
